The Deal, The Payout, and the Pay-Off

Have you been wanting to clean out your closet and get rid of all those clothes you never wear. You know what I mean. The clothes with the original tag that you brag about never having worn. Oh yeah, and the outfit you wore only once. Why let it take up space when you can bring it to McShane's and get some cash in return.

Here is how our consignment policy works.

1. The most important thing to remember is that we only accept women's designer clothing and accessories. When we say designer, we mean designer we mean Gucci, Prada, Juicy Couture, Marc Jacobs, Chloe, Chanel, Burberry, Fendi, Donna Karen, Armani, St. John, Louis Vuitton, and Ralph Lauren.

2. All our items are seasonal.

February 1st we begin accepting Spring & Summer clothing.

August 1st we begin accepting Fall & Winter clothing.

3. You must bring in at least 8 items to begin an account. However, you are not limited in the amount of items you want to bring in (that is, at once). Each time you bring in your 8 or more items, you sign a new consignment contract. The contract lasts for 60 days (in other words, your clothing goes on the rack for 60 days).

4. We price the clothing for approximately 1/3 the original price. Price reductions take place every 2 weeks: 25%, 50%, 75%, etc. It is a 50/50 split at the end of the 60 days for the final sale price.

5. It is sometimes the case that there may be a few items that have not sold at the end of the 60 days. You have 2 options: have us donate the remaining items to Catholic Charities or you may return to the store to pick up any items that did not sell. You will indicate which of the two options you prefer at the beginning of each 60 day consignment period.

6. All items are priced, counted, and tagged with consignors' receipt number (given to you each time you sign a new contact). However, they're not individually or specifically described on Consignors sheet.

7. We do not make a detailed inventory list. Pricing is done after items are left with us. It is impossible to do so at the time of drop-off (any unacceptable clothing will either be returned or donated; depending on your preference). Unless specifically stated herein, the sales price is solely at the discretion of McShane's Exchange. All sales made by McShane's Exchange shall be binding on Consignor.
